Geboren 1956 in Bad Vilbel. 1975 Abitur an der Musterschule in Ffm. Von 1975 bis 1981 Studium der Rechtswissenschaften in Ffm. 1984 Assessor-Examen (Volljurist). Von 1987 bis 1992 sozialpolitischer Referent beim VdK LV Hessen. Von 1992 bis 2019 Tätigkeit als Jurist im höheren Dienst der Liegenschaftsverwaltung der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Von 1991 bis 2001 nebenamtlicher Dozent für Sozialrecht an der Fachhochschule Fft. (heute: University of Applied Sciences). Fast seit Anbeginn 1999 ehrenamtlich in der AWO-Geschichtswerkstatt Ffm. aktiv; zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen in der AWO-Zeitung, Vorträge, Lesungen. Seit vielen Jahren in der Stolperstein-Initiative Frankfurt engagiert; Initiator etlicher Steine. Von 2018 bis 2020 Stadtteilhistoriker der Stiftung Polytechnische Gesellschaft über das Thema „Die Ffter Kriegsopfer nach den beiden Weltkriegen und ihre Organisationen“.
Zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen zur hessischen und Ffter Sozialgeschichte mit Schwerpunkt auf Fürsorge- und Wohlfahrtsorganisationen und darin engagierten Persönlichkeiten, u. a. „Chronik VdK Hessen, ein Stück Nachkriegsgeschichte“ (1989), „Soziale Einrichtungen sind Kinder ihrer Zeit…“ (1999), „August Oswalt (1892-1983)“ (2002), „Selbsthilfe aus Ruinen“ (2005), „Selbsthilfe in Notzeiten“ (2008), „Das Frauenseminar für soziale Berufsarbeit/die Wohlfahrtsschule für Hessen-Nassau und Hessen“ (Auszug aus Festschrift „Warum nur Frauen“ als Sonderdruck, 2014), „Meta Quarck-Hammerschlag: Ich bin radical bis auf die Knochen“ (2016), „Hitler hat ihn umgebracht. Der Sozialpolitiker Hans Maier“ (2020); die Publikationen ab 2005 zusammen mit Hanna Eckhardt.
